There is a yet another new book on App-V available

App-V

In the interest of full disclosure, I was recently contacted by a publisher who asked if I would like to review a new book, called Microsoft Application Virtualization Advanced Guide and written by an Argentinian(?) guy called Augusto Alvarez. As the topic sounds interesting enough (and it has 3rd party tools section, covering our Application Virtualization Explorer as well!), I was glad to have an opportunity to take a closer look at this book I actually already had heard about before.

So, at some point when I have had the chance to read through the actual book, I will post a more thorough treatment on the subject; but in the meanwhile I suggest you go and have a look that book’s page if it has any interesting points to you as it is supposedly about more advanced stuff than the basic “how to install App-V the first time” stuff Augusto’s first book was about (haven’t read that one either).
From what I understand, some of my fellow App-V MVP colleagues have reviewed the content while still under writing so it should already be quite checked for for accuracy. And there’s an overview information about the topics as well as table of contents available on the publisher’s site so you should get a rather good idea what’s in it content-wise…

More to come on later!
